Navigation

The following sections describe the basic tenets of navigating the Loudthink® websites.  In general, one should know how to surf a website (via hyperlinks).  The Loudthink® websites also assume the browser's Back button is available.

Page Structure

All pages in the Loudthink® websites contain four sections:

  • Header — showing the page section and the company logo across the top

  • Menu — listing relevant links and page-level functions on the left side of the page

  • Main — containing the sought-after data, scrolling when necessary

  • Footer — displaying the copyright notice plus a few useful and common links
  • Often, some of the options available on the menu will load a different page into the main section.  When the contents of the main section are not the default, a heading matching the associated menu item for them appears at the top of the main section.  This page is an example of that situation.

    Common Links

With the exception of the homepage, the Loudthink® logo appears in the upper right of every page.  Clicking on it returns to the homepage — regardless of where in the site one currently is.

The upper left of each page contains either the section or the title of the subsection and its parent section.  Clicking on each of these will return to the default page, "home" for that section or subsection.  For example, clicking on the "Help" in the upper left of this page will return to the first page of Help.

The copyright notice at the bottom of the page links to the company legalese.  That page contains not only full copyright notice, but also the Loudthink® terms of use, privacy policy and notices regarding trade/service marks.

Finally, every page displays a few useful links at the bottom left.  Most important of these is the Site Map.  The Site Map lists most pages in the Loudthink® websites — including all top-level pages.

    Portal and Security

The Loudthink  Portal contains specialized functionality for customers, suppliers and employees.  It has an extranet section and an intranet section.  However, each of these are accessible only by entering a user ID and password.  To gain access, you must register with Loudthink®.
