Volvo Trucks, part of the Volvo Group, manufacturers heavy trucks for industrial and commercial use.  With world headquarters in Göteborg and North American headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, Volvo is the largest manufacturer of trucks in the world.  Volvo includes the Renault and Mack brands as well.  Volvo also manufactures buses, construction equipment, marine engines, airplane engines and even rocket engines.

Loudthink^® team members worked with Volvo personnel in North Carolina and Virginia to develop a product configurator.  The configurator would allow sales engineers to:

		Flag orders as infeasible before they reached the assembly line
		Reuse existing engineering rather than reinvent designs and bills-of-materials
		Accurately price customizations (quite common throughout the industry)
		Dramatically reduce order processing time and effort

Given our performance on the American project, Volvo asked Loudthink^® to return — to reengineer order fulfillment processes for the entire truck corporation.  This project targeted not only order accuracy but also upgrading systems nearly 20 years old.
